The Society has been preparing for plant conservation, habitat protection, and environmental leadership challenges of the 21st Century. They place special importance on protecting native plants in order to conserve the healthy beautiful ecosystems that exist in our world.

The Farm School is a family farm turned educational center where people can come and learn what it means to be a practical, sustainable farmer. Several programs are offered both for young people and adults.

The farm also has a Community Supported Agriculture option offering fresh organic produce for members with pick-ups in Boston and Watertown.

Citysprouts is a year-round non-profit organization which aims to help school communities to create learning gardens in their schoolyards. These gardens are used by teachers as a direct extension of classroom teaching to allow a hands-on approach to the curriculum while introducing the ideas of sustainability and environmental importance.

The Alternative Energy Store is a retailer of renewable energy goods and extensive information on how and why to use them. They provide technical service for the Do-It-Yourselfer as well as offering a variety of one and two day workshops for those that wish to learn more about environmental sustainability. Their website also includes an extensive forum full of information and stories.

Concord Carlisle Adult & Community Education (CCACE) provides opportunities for lifelong learning to the citizens of the school district and surrounding towns.

CCACE provides education on a variety of different subjects including Nature and the Environment.

Collaborating with citizens and organizations, CCACE responds to community needs and interests with our communities' talents and resources, calling upon local people to develop and coordinate programs and services for children, adolescents and adults throughout the year.

CCACE makes schools available for extended-day educational use for citizens in Concord and Carlisle. They promote and support School and Town projects that cannot be funded or presented in traditional ways. CCACE is both a program of classes and educational events and a process that connects local citizens with each other and their public schools in ways that are creative, educational and cost effective.
