Dr. H. Bradley Shaffer, this year's Hrdy Fellow at Harvard's Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, will be speaking about "Making Population Biology Relevant to Conservation". Turning basic research in ecology, evolution and genetics into concrete conservation management is one of the more elusive goals of conservation biology. Dr. Shaffer will be speaking about this in relation to his studies of the California Tiger Salamander.
